vGRID App

The vGRID App is a standards-based web client accessible using any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox etc), this does not require the installation of a dedicated application or ‘thick client’. This is supported by Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android operating systems.

On iOS devices there is also a dedicated vGRID App available on the App Store that supports additional functionality that the mobile web app does not, such as ANPR Alert Push Notifications and future functionality automatically leveraging officer location.

Security

vGRID is built with cyber security front of mind and this includes the app where users are potentially able to access sensitive or personal information.

• Access to the vGRID App uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) via SMS or Single Sign On (SSO) via AzureAD or OIDC to prevent unauthorised access.
• Robust and granular user permissions allowing Role Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Comprehensive auditing of all user activities.
• HTTPS to ensure secure encrypted connection.
• Region blocking to prevent access outside of your region.
• Ability to connect to vGRID over private links or site-to-site VPNs to meet enterprise security requirements.
